April 25, 2022
Ashlie Rodriguez emcees the Annual Loudoun Valor Awards that honor acts of heroism and courage and distinction. She covered 50 pages of amazing stories of lives being saved in one hour and made it interesting and honored dozens of frontline workers. These included oolice officers who were shot multiple times in the line of duty who had to receive blood transfusions manually by fire fighters to 3 average citizens who conducted CPR to save a walker on a Leesburg trail and in a second instance, a coworker. Ashlie commented that as a reporter she sees frontline unsung heroes in the line of duty who demonstrate extraordinary dedication to duty and their fellow man.
Founder Diane Canney created this oil on wood portrait to honor Ms. Rodriguez's remarkable service to the community. The Loudoun Chamber of Commerce wanted to include a landscape of the beauty of western Loudoun. This portrait was presented at the 2022 Loudon Valor Awards.
